Every year, the family and I take a trip to McCall over Labor Day weekend in an end-of-year camping tradition. The past two years have happened to fall on top of huge BSU games. Last year we were supposed to watch the game with some fellow campers who were Slingboxing it. The picture was so poor that I made an impromptu trip to town to find a good place to watch it. Needless to say, finding a spot was nearly impossible.

This year I jumped the gun, took a 1/2 day off, and got to McCall early to find a good spot to watch the game. We settled on a quaint little brew pub off the beaten path called Salmon River Brewery. It had a good atmosphere, good beer, and we thought, a good game. Right upon entry there is a chalk board announcing that the pub will now carry football games. Awesome!, Right?

Not so fast, my little friend. The owners are Vandal fans and when we ask that they put the game on, they agreed, but with no sound. There were several couples there in Blue and Orange who asked the same (in fact everyone in the pub wanted the game on). No go! We were told in no uncertain terms that the Owners did not like Boise State and they would not be turning the sound on.

So...we had to go elsewhere. Nuggies unite! Boycott Salmon River Brewery in McCall!
