In case you had any question, Dan Wetzel wrote a pretty good piece about Coach Pete's reaction in the immediate wake of the Michigan State game. Petersen does a good job of keeping a straight face and not getting too high or too low, but it's good to know that it was killing him inside and all he wanted to do was start breaking down tape to figure out why the running game wouldn't work.
I guess there's not much more to say after a game like that. The offense played terribly (although the passing game less terrible than the running game) and the defense and special teams played alright.
As much as I like Matt, I have to respectfully disagree. Michigan State was not only the first game but also the most difficult team Boise State will play. As Kevan put it, it does get easier from here. The coaches will make adjustments and Boise State will take advantage of its easier schedule and gain the experience that these players will need to make the jump to the Big East next year.
Apparently the tweet only lasted for about 30 seconds but that's all it takes. I don't think this is what new AD Mark Coyle had in mind when he wanted to put an emphasis on social network.
Happy belated birthday
