2013 Recruit Roundup: September 23, 2012

The Broncos' current crop of 2013 commits were all in action this weekend trying to finish off their senior seasons in style.

Join me after the jump to see updated team records and individual statistics for the class of 2013.

Ryan Finley, QB, Paradise Valley High School (Phoenix, AZ)

Finley put together his best game of the year on Friday night and led his Trojans to a dominating 56-14 win over Moon Valley. In the game, Finley went 13-of-17 for 267 yards and 5 TDs (with no interceptions). On the season, Finley has 1,541 passing yards with 15 TDs against 5 INTs. Paradise Valley is now 3-2 and will play Washington (Kharyee Marshall's alma mater) this Friday.

Joe Martarano, MLB, Fruitland High School (Fruitland, ID)

Fruitland put a 62-8 whoopin' on Parma on Friday night and improved to 5-0 on the season. No game stats could be found at the time of this posting. The Grizzlies will play Payette this weekend to try to stay unbeaten.

Alec Dhaenens, TE, Fruitland High School (Fruitland, ID)

Jack Austin, WR, Chino Hills High School (Chino Hills, CA)

Chino Hills is now 3-1-1 after defeating Temecula Great Oak 41-20 on Friday evening. Austin's full game stats are not yet recorded, but game recaps make mention of one 34-yard TD reception for Austin. Through the previous four games, Hill had 234 receiving yards and 2 TDs. Obviously he now has at least one more TD, but I'll wait till next week to give you his updated totals. Chino Hills will play Charter Oak in two weeks.

Aaron Baltazar, RB, Eastlanke High School (Chula Vista, CA)

Baltazar had 212 yards on 23 carries and at least one TD (no full stats found at this time) as Eastlake ran over Steele Canyon 56-26 this last weekend. It was the 3rd straight win for Eastlake after dropping their opener to Helix. Baltazar and the Huskies will play St. Augustine this Friday.

Tanner Vallejo, LB, Nevada Union High School (Grass Valley, CA)

Vallejo put up a valiant individual effort on Friday night, but it wasn't enough to secure a win over Elk Grove, and Nevada Union fell to 3-2 on the year . Vallejo registered 15 tackles, a QB hurry and forced a fumble in the contest and also rushed for 66 yards and a TD. Through 5 games, Vallejo has 61 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries. He's also rushed for 266 yards and scored 3 TDs.

Durrant Miles, LB/DE, Bingham High School (South Jordan, UT)

Bingham defeated Riverton 42-16 on Friday night and moved to 5-1 on the year. Miles' game stats were not recorded for the win (yet), but through the previous 5 contests, he had recorded 26 tackles, 5 sacks, 1 PBU and 1 INT. Bingham plays Lone Peak this Thursday.

Mat Boesen, LB/TE, West High School (Torrance, CA)

Boesen and his West teammates defeated South on Friday night to remain unbeaten on the year (4-0). Stat-keeping for West is still spotty at best, but a Daily Breeze article credits Boesen for a 48-yard TD reception in the contest as well as 2 sacks and a fumble recovery. Given that Boesen had 5 sacks last week, he's really racking those up at an impressive clip lately. West will play North next weekend.

Justin Taimatuia, DT, Fort Scott Community College (KS)

Fort Scott got back in the win column with a 34-14 win over Dodge City yesterday and are now 2-3 on the year. Unfortunately, stats for the game have not been logged, so I'll just go ahead and assume that Justin had 20 sacks (± 20) in the game. The Greyhounds will play Garden City CC next Saturday, and hopefully I'll have updated stats by then.

Andrew Tercek, OL, East Central High School (San Antonio, TX)

East Central suffered their second straight loss on Friday night, falling to Judson 28-18. The 3-2 Hornets will try to get back on track next Friday against New Braunfels.

Eli McCullough, OT, Rocky Mountain High School (Meridian, ID)

Rocky Mountain remains undefeated as they handled Boise with ease on Friday night—winning 47-17. The Rocky Mountain O-line was featured in a Statesman story about their hot 4-0 start. RMHS will play Capital next Thursday night at Dona Larsen Park if you'd like to get a look at McCullough and the Grizzlies.

That's it for this week...but hopefully we'll be adding to our list of recruits as the season wears on. If you have any stats, info, or otherwise to report, I would greatly appreciate it. Just send HERE.
