When asked about the decision, Mendenhall said:
"I wanted to win. We had momentum for the first time in the game. We were moving the ball offensively and I wanted to capitalize on it. I'd do it again," he said.
I respect that, but I'm curious how BYU fans feel. I'm actually happy with how it turned out, but knowing that Boise State's offense was struggling as well, don't you try to extend the game and trust your defense?
He then said that he had the same feeling as everyone else -- weird. I guess it's good to know that the defense is clicking since Petersen is an offensive guy first and can work with Prince to tweak the offense and make it better. At least we have a long week and New Mexico next to make more adjustments.
Within minutes of the play happening, the Internet gave s the gif to memorialize it. In face, there's another gif from a different angle! So pick your favorite and make it your wallpaper so you can watch it over and over again.
Matt Hinton from SMQ isn't saying anything we don't already know, but he's just really good and putting it into words and quickly.
This came out just before the game, but deserves a mention anyways. Boise State won the factoring by 4-1 which is only slightly less than the actual score. Spencer Hall is a savant!
