Boise State falls out of polls for first time in 63 weeks
Even with the upsets from Saturday, Boise State fell out of the USA Today poll. On one hand, It's frustrating because Boise State has only lost to a top 10 team, but on the other hand there aren't any other winless teams in the Top 25. Boise State should jump back up into the rankings with a couple of wins under its belt.
Doug Martin with 118 total yards in Tampa Bay win
95 yards of those were on the ground in 24 carries and he added another 4 receptions for 23 yards. Definitely the kind of toughness we've come to expect from the muscle hamster. In other games Shea McClellin saw action for the Bears lining up at defensive end but got whistled for a neutral zone infraction. Probably a mistake by the replacement refs. Billy Winn started for the Browns yesterday and was credited with two tackles.
The Big East will not change its name
Last week Big East interim commissioner Joe Bailey said that the Big East was looking into options to tweak the name. Well new Big East commissioner Mike Aresco shot that down citing the Big East name brand equity. I guess I see his point especially on the basketball side of things.
