All Hail! Kevan, Drew, and Nick

We’re rolling down towards the opening kickoff, and soon posts will be flying like Kellen’s passes. Before the air gets too congested, though, I thought it would be appropriate to pause for a moment to consider the enjoyment we receive from OBNUG, whether we’re registered Nuggies, lurkers, or visitors from other sites.

This blog is a cornucopia of information, education, and entertainment. During the football season, the Broncos and their deeds furnish a wealth of topics for our discussion. Indeed, there seems to be so much that sometimes we’re afraid we might be missing some tidbit adrift in the Blue sea.

Anyone who has ever had a writing assignment, whether for a class, for work, for a newsletter or a blog, can appreciate the time and the skill required to create a piece that captures and keeps the readers’ attention. All too often, though, those efforts might be taken for granted. Like air conditioning on a hot July day, we don’t really miss it until it’s no longer there.

Those of you who have visited other blogs may have noticed the paucity of articles, with sometimes a week or more between postings. Those blogs’ primary writers cannot be blamed. It’s an enormous task to undertake, and some just don’t have the time, the talent, or the drive to keep it up day in and day out, month after month. We Nuggies are spoiled, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but we need to pay-up our share to ensure the continued production of this site that we find so entertaining and edifying.

A good writer never ceases to compose. As soon as one work is completed, the kernels of the next are aligning in his or her mind. First comes the idea; then, the initial draft; research and fact-checking is next, followed by editing and tweaking the sentences, cutting that which is unnecessary or redundant; then finding appropriate graphics, photos, or quotations. Finally comes proof-reading for clarity, grammar, and spelling before pushing the button that exposes your creation to the vagaries of a critical world. It is simply a lot of work. This is what our esteemed Three Amigos--Kevan, Nick, and Drew--perform on a regular basis. Their daily outpouring of posts, even during the quieter off-season, has kept the flames burning throughout Bronco Nation. How they do it, and do it so well, is a feat worthy of their favorite team. Hard work–dedication–innovation–modesty–intelligence–wit–drill, drill, drill–make them Our Kind of Guys.

So a hearty THANK YOU and WELL DONE to our trio of scribes. Your efforts are not unnoticed, and are sincerely appreciated. We’ll do what we need to do in order to keep you happy and churning out your amazing production. Join with me, Nuggies, and give these fellows a big pat on the back for creating and maintaining the best blog in the country!
