New offensive coordinator Robert Prince spoke with the media on Monday and had good things to say about Southwick. Prince praised Southwick's attention to detail and noted that Southwick having spent 2 years in the playbook was able to pick up new stuff without it being a burden to him. He also mentioned that Shane Williams-Rhodes will be in a backup role but that they will try to get him involved without overwhelming him in such a big game.

As always, put very little stock in anything predicting the season before the first game has even been played, but he does have LSU and Oregon in the national championship game and Boise State meeting Washington State in the MAACO bowl. And as Mike Sharp pointed out, Boise media might explode if that happens.

Matt Hinton has revived the Sunday Morning Quarterback. It has been dormant since 2008 when he went to Yahoo to start the Dr. Saturday column. Recently he has left Yahoo and has been doing some writing for Football Outsiders, but it's good to have him back at SMQ for his random college football musings.
