Boise State rides the rails to Michigan State's Place In East Lansing Michigan. Nobody thinks Boise can win after losing the NFL talent it sent to a variety of teams. The team is young, the team is inexperienced and all the studs have moved on. The pollsters only gave BSU a # 24 ranking in sympathy for a great program and coach. They didn't know what to do with Boise. They couldn't just throw them under the Pat Forde's Bus. What the pollsters and MSU may not realize is the extraordinary lengths that BSU puts itself under each year developing the team. The team does not just run on Coach Petersen's gifted leadership, but he partners with every one associated with the program. Coaches, players and all staff. Choosing a team components for this year, is always a difficult process, that started years ago by developing each player to maximum output. Coaches, staff and those behind-the-scene- players are ready for prime time in Spartan Stadium. Who will emerge as the new Bronco champions will be the team. Once again the coaches, players and staff. They don't do a poll on these components for teams playing on the national scene. However, if you start with great ingredients, you end up with a master piece that will satisfy every hungry fan wanting another miracle game.
Trickeration has not been discussed in the run up for this game. But every phase of the game is laced with Bronco Trickeration. This years variety is based on the talent pool. An endless cast of receivers, RB and smack like Dan Paul. It seems like DP caught a few balls in his past. MSU may want to field 13 on defense at times to keep up with shifts, formations and deception. The QB has had time to play a lot of different scenarios in practice under the leadership of the nation's best. That should count for something in the poll. Heart is not factored in the poll, nor is belief, of having a team believe they are all-in, no matter the opponent. That is why they come to Boise. They believe they can win it all, and will give it all next Friday.
