That's right. The skies over East Lansing should be clear, with a Blue Moon rising!

A "Blue Moon" is when there is two full moons in one month (the first was on August 1st). Though they aren't as rare as the expression implies, the next one wont happen for three years. It should also be noted that the Moon doesn't actually turn blue, unless there's particular ash or dust in the sky. Smoke can cause a blue hue also so maybe it will turn blue in Boise, but I haven't seen that happen yet.

Baseball fans understand bad omens, could this be a good omen for the Boys in Blue? I guess we will find out!
