Big East looking for new bowl game for champion

It's on their long list of things at Big East media days. That list also includes finding a new commissioner and a new television deal so not much on their plate at all. No word on if the Big East is talking to the ACC about pitting potential champions in a bowl game or second place if the champion is selected to the playoff.

Boise State's public scrimmage to be held Saturday, August 18th at 7 p.m.

That will be less than two weeks from the Michigan State opener and just over two weeks from now. Holy crap, the season is almost here!

Kellen Moore doing what he does best -- complete passes

The word out of Detroit Lions training camp is that Kellen is outperforming R.J. Archer for the 3rd string QB position because Kellen is completing passes while R.J. is throwing interceptions. It's mentioned that Kellen is having issues with the deep ball though but that's just a timing issue if you ask me (nobody's asking me).

Boise State adds La Quinta athlete Taylor Pope as a walk on

Taylor played quarterback for La Quinta High School but Boise State recruited him as a receiver after seeing him in the California vs. Arizona senior all-star game. He is 6-1 and you can see some highlights of him here.

Breeja Larson finishes 6th in the 100m breaststroke

Breeja attended Centennial High for a short time before moving to Arizona. American Rebecca Soni took the silver in the event.
