They go by the name Spartan Dawgs and defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi has modeled them off of the old Miami defense. Sounds like they can be tad unruly and undisciplined though. Is it August yet? Come on.
He just can't see it lasting for 12 years. He doesn't really give a firm reason why he thinks this, but he'd just like to share his opinion. I guess if I had to place a bet on if the 4 team playoff would stay at 4 teams for 12 years, I might say no but I don't think that qualifies as a story.
They won't play in 2014 or 2015 though. Brian Murphy thought this sort of arrangement could work for Boise State and Idaho too. Predictably Idaho fans are in favor while Boise State fans are not. It's really just a matter of being practical though. Who know is Idaho will even have a football team that far down the road?
