The Mtn. closing doors......wait is this good?

Brian Murphy's article

The Mountain West Conference announced last week that on May 31st the doors will be closing on their TV network. After I read this I jumped up for joy and grabbed my phone to text 100 people the beginning of the fall of the Mountain. I Admit my first reaction was joy and enthusiasm for the future that awaits the boys in blue and our program. It was a joyful week

After coming back down to earth from a joyful announcement I read Brian Murphy's article "Brian Murphy: TV options won’t get rosier as The Mtn. fades to black" and realized I was too premature in celebration. Murphy makes a good point that the channel was a scapegoat for the failure of "The Mountain". (failure we can all dub as expansion related, or Tv Contract money) the TV channel still had more people access to the broncos. I wonder if we feel the network channel represented what the Mountain West Conference was, thus making us excited to see it fail since we all disprove of the conference and its commissioner. Brain makes a good point that ESPN is not swooping in to schedule us on prime time, and how the basketball program will not see any games.

So my concern then is ...............what will happen? and though The Mtn. was bad, was it better then nothing? I enjoyed watching the basketball games, but the commentary and camera was not up to par. mixed feelings overwhelm me after the article from murphy.

What do OBNUGEERS feel now?
