Chris Petersen and his coaches have made a shift for Spring practices. They will now take place in the mornings at 8:45 am. To me this sounds like a never ending set of two a days. But there does seem to be some thought put into this. Coaches expect players to be more alert and in turn wake them up for their classes the rest of the day. Coaches and players will also meet in the afternoon to discuss that day's practice instead of waiting an entire day. I only wonder if this is because we have more 11 a.m. kickoffs against San Jose State on the horizon.
Former RB Kaiserman was laid out by Utah's Greg Bird on a kickoff in the 2010 Las Vegas bowl. Apparently the hit ended Kaiserman's career and now he suffers from headaches. Kaiserman is looking for stricter guidelines for players that have suffered possible concussions.
The Shutdown 50 is Yahoo's Shutdown Corner's list of the top 50 players in the draft to be the biggest NFL difference makers. He sees McClellin as playing an outside linebacker to play to his strengths of speed and agility and to mitigate his weaknesses in pure strength.
The details were finally released and Pease is set to make $490,000 annually. Not too shabby.
