New Mexico holds off Long Beach State
That was about the only good thing for the MWC yesterday as the fifth seeded Lobos held off 12th seeded Long Beach State. Elsewhere, 6th seeded UNLV was upset by 11th seeded Colorado while 11th seeded Colorado State was not able to pull off the same upset over 6th seeded Murray State. The MWC's fourth team in the tourney, San Diego State, kicks off against North Carolina State in the first set of game today.
