I realize this is not a political blog, so my apologies, but this has to be shared.
"He who shall not be named" (Aig-Cray Ames-Jay) is not faring well in his attempt to mess with Texas voters.
According to the Houston Chronicle (2/22/12), Would-be U.S. Senator Derp is wiping up the rear in the latest poll conducted by the University of Texas and the Texas Tribune:
The former SMU Mustang and New England Patriot running back is struggling to overcome two liabilities: he’s largely unknown and he’s unpopular among those who know him. . . .
When asked "How would you vote in a Republican U.S. Senate primary held today?", 38 percent of likely Republican primary voters said they would vote for Dewhurst, while Cruz followed with 27 percent. Craig James and Tom Leppert secured 7 percent each.
If I were a Texan, I'd demand to see his body of work, but somehow the very thought of that makes me want to scrub with hydrochloric acid.
Evidently, Texas is still sorting out its redistricting, so a date for the primary has not yet been set.
