Oh goody, they're bringing back a school that was ousted for not being competitive enough
Oh well…at least it would be another game within driving distance. Cheesesteaks!
"Nobody likes it"
"I'm tired of even the BCS name"
"The whole thing needs to be changed."

Depends on your definition of suck
I’d say they’re about as good as Nevada – a middling non-AQ school
Curious as to why the big east refused to pay the $
for BSU to get out of the mwc. Seems to me that they made enough on the wv exit fee to pony up for a quality team to join. oh well. one more year of the crappy mwc and the equally bad tv contract.
I'm sure it was something that was voted on by conference members.
A) Collect exit fee, pocket money
B) Collect exit fee, pay half to MWC for Boise State
Probably was a quick vote…

Where are those Super PAC donors when you need one?
However, the Big East was not willing to provide the Broncos with about $10 million they needed to leave the Mountain West in football.
Chump change for them. Do you want political ads, or exciting football? No brainer.
(BTW, isn’t Temple Bill Cosby’s alma mater?)
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they, too, have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit.
I seem to remember the MWC getting crappier the closer we got to joining too.
Coincidence?

MW got crappy because the good schools were leaving. Temple has great BB and good FB. Memphis has great BB.
Could help keep UL, Cinci, UConn, and Rutgers. Everyone assumes that those school are for sure leaving. But remember that was when the conference was weak and falling apart. It’s not weak and falling apart anymore.
Umm...question nobody seems to be asking....
Why has Temple been invited? The addition of Temple would mean that once Navy joins, the Big East will have 13 schools. Which school is going to get their invitation revoked or does the Big East plan to go to 14 or 16 schools?
I am the BSU Guru. I know everything and anything about BSU, just ask me. Although I may need a minute…and an internet connection.
They could be planning ahead in case Louisville gets poached in the next year or two.
Personally I’m hoping, beyond hope of course, that all of the recent additions will convince the remaining Big East school to stay. A few years ago the Big East sucked eggs overall as a football conference, I have to admit. But with the losses of Pitt and Syracuse the new Big East will be stronger than before in terms of football, even with the loss of WVU. As for basketball it should be at least as good as it now, especially with the additions of Memphis and Temple (pending).
I mean sure, they can make a crap-load of money losing in the Big12 and ACC, but why wouldn’t they rather make good money (not Big12 money, but still great money) AND compete and win in the Big East? Mizzou, Colorado, and TAMU will all be bottom feeding cellar dwellers in their new conferences, but at least they gots the dough. But seriously, what kind of tradition and reputation is that for your school? “Yeah, we suck and never win our conference and don’t get to bowl games any more, but hey, we is LOADED!”

currently serving overseas, I’m hopeful that Air Force and Army join the Big East to round it out. Navy was smart by joining the Big East. As we know with budget cuts in the Military and elsewhere, the TV contracts are very helpful for the Service Academies.
