Who should our favorite walk-on be? I submit to you that it should be Avery Westendorf. Turned down a full-ride from Idaho to walk on at Boise State. It doesn't get better than that.

this is awesome.
he just may have to be my favorite walk on. if he’s anything like Borgman, he’ll have a scholly in no time.
My QB has an AWARD named after him. How about yours?!

Plus
with a name like Avery Westendorf, what’s not to love??
Thank you, Nick Adenhart. You will always be remembered. #34
His name breaks down perfectly into 4 seperate words and nearly makes a coherent statement.
A very western dwarf.

"dorf" is a village in Germany
So, that breaks down into A very western village. Only in Alabama maybe! Boise’s a big boy now. lol
If you ever wanted to see Boise St play...may be a good chance. Love em or Hate em, they are always interesting; and now, no matter where you live, "They're Coming To Your City"

At that size, he's the tallest of the big dudes. Why was he overlooked?

Speed I would think...
Doesn’t appear to be the fastest of guys…plus he played in 2A so less competition…
I could see him gaining some weight and moving into a lineman position…maybe OT on offense…could do ok at DT on defense, needs to get faster though to play DE imo.
kid with a
chip on his shoulder – fits the BSU mode perfectly! BSU molds allot of TE from the local talent.
I think they said he wouldn't even
take a visit to the Harvard of the Northwest. I guess he has already seen too much Ivy in his life, and wasn’t looking for a Horizon flight into and out of Pullman.

No brainer
Which road do you think was chosen by Avery Westendorf?
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they, too, have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit.
