FSU....

Has called BSU for that vacant spot on the 8th. Boise hasn’t responded yet. Come on Coach Pete, step up. We need this.

Only if they'll do a home and away.

If you ever wanted to see Boise St play...may be a good chance. Love em or Hate em, they are always interesting; and now, no matter where you live, "They're Coming To Your City"

Yeah, this deal has to be right, I don't much like the idea of being taken to the cleaners

We take all the risk in a one night stand scenario in Tally. We may still win that game but that’s not the point. The odds slew heavily in FSU’s favor so we should be able to get more out of them at the bargaining table due to that fact. We have the brand spanking new squad with unproven players at critical positions, this game would be early in the year, they didn’t have the balls or the inclination to schedule us the past 3 years, we are travelling to them I’m sure, we have a tough away opener already, and they have the veteran squad and the ferocious defense. I got no problems with those odds…they want to go toe to toe in a phone booth, let’s do that…but they gotta meet us halfway not sit there and try to chump us.

I want the money to be right (i.e. we’re not slitting our throats financially to travel there, I’m not saying they need to pay us a mint) and another game scheduled for next year or the year after. It can be in Boise or at a true Neutral site (like Cowboys Stadium for instance), I don’t care, but they accept just as much risk as we do in this deal or they can go pound sand.

Kansas City would be kindof in the middle.

1050 mi for FSU, 1350 for BSU. It will also give us Big 12 exposure, for future considerations. Now that their losing the KU/Mizzou rival game, we should take advantage of the vacancy, and start scheduling more teams there. Think about it. An end of the season big game. Besides, it should make OU get a little nervous. (in the poltergeist voice)/ “Their baaack”

The more I think about it, the more i like it.

Why do we have to schedule them at the beginning of the season. Why couldn’t we schedule them at the end in KC. By that time both teams should be ranked, and an end of season showdown might be the decider for either a BCS, or who knows? There is definitely a vacancy at Arrowhead at the end of the college season, and with two big hitters like BSU & FSU, they would pack that stadium, not to mention the TV ratings for whoever. This could be a big money game for both teams. Win, win, win, win, that’s what its all about, right? If they don’t Mizzou(SEC) certainly will. Hey, when Mizzou see’s us, they might mistake us for KU(blue). BIG MISTAKE! haha.

Wait, we already played a Teacher's College...

North Texas, and don’t need a nuther unless FSU also comes up here. Just sayin’.

We ain’t desperate…but FSU just might be, what with the long history of failed expectations. If we add them we suddenly have a strength of schedule in the top 10, and likely the single toughest the first half of the year, ala Tulsa or LSU las year.

The timing (BSU reloading year) reminds me of a friend of mine in High School. Very tough kid who could handle himself in a fight. He got pneumonia or some such but came to school anyway. About 5 kids tried to pick a fight with him that day (better odds). Those he didn’t whip that day he attended to when he was well. We need a home and home, or a neutral/neutral.

Looks like...

We are not going to play FSU. AD said we need a home game. When actually, we need some tougher opponents.
