Boise State announces 2012 recruiting class, zero surprises
Unless you count Shane Rhodes hyphenating his last name to Shane Williams-Rhodes. Didn't see that one coming.
BroncoSports has video of all recruits, too, if you'd like to kill some time at work before Coach Pete's 1:45 presser.

Hopefully
we’ll land CB Anthony Standifer! That would be sweet!

If I recall correctly
That was a whole lot smoother then last year. How long before the spring game?
I'm the 12 th man its my job its my duty.
This just in
Kellen is asking on his Facebook page what everyone thinks of this years BSU draft.
I'm really bummed about Johnson
he had all the potential in the world… Here’s hoping Ajayi is healthy and un-boneheaded, because he just became the new #2. Hopefully Fields can step up and step in, too
Thank you, Nick Adenhart. You will always be remembered. #34
I remember watching his film on youtube..
And thinking that this kid was like no other recruit Boise St had ever gotten before. At least at running back. Too bad.

That's how I felt too
I think he is at or near the top of my list for being most excited about a recruit.

My QB has an AWARD named after him. How about yours?!

Andy Avalos Hired By Coach Petersen... He has the "it" factor. DL coach to start.
Props to Andy. If Andy and Coach are excited then I am Excited!! DL Coach because there are about 18 DL’s on the team.
The only thing the BCS has to fear, is fear itself, and Blue is the color of fear.
Some comments from Coach Pete
I jotted down some of Pete’s responses at the press conference. I’m sure someone is writing up a review, but here are some early tidbits for those unable to watch.
On Coach Andy Avalos
“We’ve been layin’ in the weeds to get an opportunity to get Andy here.”
(By the way, it struck me that we now have TWO D.J.s.)
On rescinding a verbal commitment:
“We don’t want anybody committin’ to us until we feel they’re really committed.”
On four QBs in the system:
“It’ll be one heckuva competition.”
On professional high school rating services:
“Don’t talk to me about ratings and stars, ‘cause that means nothin’ to us. Never has and never will. . . . Don”t talk about being ‘heavily recruited.’"
On potential walk-ons:
“I can’t talk about them until they’re in the program. . . . We will have more than one.”
On recruiting:
“There’s always scramblin’ (in the last few weeks before signing day), but very few (potential recruits) fall out of the sky.”
It struck me that Pete and his staff really do their homework, just as they expect their players to do the same. He talked about how they study tape “over and over” in evaluating potential recruits.
It’s gonna be fun this fall, Nuggies! (And beyond.)
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they, too, have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit.

a writer from In The Bleachers talk about the rescinding schollies practice.
he used Paul Johnson of GT as his example. the writer is NOT fan and brought up some good examples of why coaches shouldn’t do that. I disagreed with the bulk of his argument, but i don’t necessarily like the practice either. i see both sides to the argument but i guess i’m on the fence.
there aren’t many things that i just don’t follow Coach Pete’s lead on (football-wise). but pulling the scholly may be one of them.
