Darren Koontz ready to step in for Michael Atkinson

Koontz is actually second on the team right now with 2.5 sacks but he'll now be forced to pick up a bigger role as starting defensive tackle. Koontiz is also a senor himself and will be looking to go out on a good note himself. I'm excited to see what he'll be able to do with this opportunity.

USC student manager deflated balls before Oregon game

It was just announced that he was dismissed from the team and that he acted alone. Whatever he tried to accomplish didn't slow down Oregon as they still scored 9 touchdowns. Not sure how much that would have helped though as under-inflated balls are easier to catch.

This year is shaping up to be another interesting year for the BCS with four undefeated teams atop the standings. Alabama is getting the de facto nod for the top spot due to their national championship last year and being from the SEC. But do they really deserve to be number one on what they have done this year?
