In his weekly press conference, someone finally asked about rumors of other jobs and Coach Pete gave about the most reassuring answer that he could. You can listen to it yourself here at about the 22 minute mark. He basically said that 99.9% of the time they are just rumors and there hasn't been a .1% of the time. He definitely had a sense of humor about it. Now he could say that he is 100% staying at Boise State forever, but that's not fair to him and I think that would be unfair to any of us to have to make that sort of commitment to our jobs.
Burroughs has been out for the majority of the last six games with an injured wrist. He did participate in the first play two weeks ago for Senior Day but just stood there as D.J. Harper ran for his touchdown. Good to see that Burroughs will be able to finish out his career at Boise State on the field. Too bad Michael Atkinson can't do the same.
The thought was that the WAC would at least hang around as a basketball league, but now schools are bailing on that. Denver is set to make the Summit League its third conference in three years after spending this year in the WAC and the previous year in the Sun Belt. I'm glad that whole Big West thing worked out for Boise State.
