Has it been this long????

Hey Bronco Nation how are we?

Well if you don't remember I crept out of the shadows last year just before our second MAACO Bowl success.............What a fantastic time in Vegas I had and can not believe all the Bronco fans I met that made it worth the trip. ( by the way on top of redirecting the wedding money I also missed christmas. As the nxt flight out of L.A. didn't get me back to Sydney until Boxing day........P.S. I have the best wife in the universe :) )

So the post Kellen Molore era has begun and the Bandwagon has become somewhat lighter. Unlike the majority of bronco nation I did not spend my entire off season waking up in cold sweats wondering how we were going to fare in 2012. No I had the beauty of living in a land where it's major football codes play between March and September...... Unfortunatley I barrack for a team who has only made the finals 3 times in the past 41 years. But this year was so full of promise. Big name signings, new coach and it all nearly paid off. After years of underacheiving my mighty Rabbits (that's right there is a proffessional Football team named the Rabbitohs) were one game from what you Yankees call the Championship game. But alas a year of success because we met expectation if not exceeded them.

This brings me about to what I have noticed once again lurking on OBNUG (only because I have just moved interstate and have been relying on my mobile to keep up with recent activity). Here we have a team who has been the most consistent and reliable team in FBS for the past four or five years. And with this some fans have grown an expectation of winning into their homerisim and yet despite the massive change to our winning team it is hard for some to swallow that we might not just be as good as we would like. This however is not a deficiency against our players or coaching staff it is just a fact of nature. I have followed a team that I have never until this year seen make a playoff and I am 27, yet since watching the Broncos I have witnessed 50 wins for 2 losses or something like that. I feel blessed that I can say I witnessed that. And this is what we all should be considering during the games where we can't score an offensive TD, or there looks to be nervousness in the pocket. Our Broncos will lay it on the line every game they take the field and whether thay win or lose it is always a privilage to watch them take the field. As fans of a successful team we naturally find it difficult to respond to anything below our previous performances and we all have an opinion on the how or why's as is human nature but before we log off or hit the enter key we should remember that as fans we ride the high's and lows and no matter who the staff, players or what the results are, we will always be there. If not......then you are not a fan.
