As a former Defensive Player back in the 70's I know that the way it was back then is Almost the same as it is now = Aggressive - Aggressive + Agressive = U take your shots when U get them and if U can key on specific players or potentially, (accidentally of course) and add to their physical duress to wear them down and not get a penalty, then Yes, U may be a specific type of a D player.

To That the Uni's Our present Offence/d wears is a Tragedy waiting to Happen AND gives other Defenses 2 distinct ways to 'Key" on players of interest. As it Now sits there is players numbers on both the sleeves of our unis AND also the Right side of our helmets. Many of U know I blog on ESPN alot and so I have picked up on this myself and on a National blogging basis for weeks now as a issue of Major Concern for our O and even our D.

Point #1; If I am on D the numbers on the jersey and especially the Helmets of BSU players allows me to SPOT Specific Players of interest Above and beyond the lower placed main jersey number = Hence I'm going to get more tackles. Point #2. If I see a specific number going down or already on the ground and I get the Opportunity (On accident of course) to slip, trip, ect and inflict additional pain or even put that person out of the game - i.e. #16, #7, ect, I will go to Great effort to do so AND all because I can Additionally Identify a BSU player as they have 2 up high and easily identifiable number locations. This may sound vile to some and I know its not right to hurt anyone yet nonetheless I can still "Key" on players to tackle or on O find my block easier. Life isnt fair, get used to it.

PROBLEM; I do Not know how to get this info to our AD or coaches and I could really use some of our Vast BSU Fans and writers to forward on this info to whomever can help maybe change these issues. We're having a "Unique" year anyway. Rarely us Fans cant do much to help that, - yet I Feel We have an Issue here that can Help our team. Besides, I've always felt our old standard BSU helmet logo would make our Bronco helmets look even more cool, -- And then our Team ALL looks the same from the chest up. (except for size, lol). As it sits now we may as well put RB, QB, TE, ect on our helmets.
