Running game looked good Saturday

Boise State addressed the running game this past week after a poor performance against Southern Miss and it showed. So far when Boise State has focused on something one week, they get results the following game. D.J. Harper was his usual solid self and Jay Ajayi is going to be something special. I can't wait to see what he'll do. It will be interesting to hear what Coach Pete says that they are working on for this week at his weekly press conference.

Demarcus Lawrence is very good

Fresno State put an emphasis on stopping him and still couldn't. Although it was interesting that they didn't use additional blockers on him like Lawrence expected them to. That's probably because the rest of the front four are very good too. Glad to have Demarcus playing at such a high level after losing our front four to the NFL.

Samuel Chi looks at Boise State's chances of making the BCS

The first BCS standings came out last night and Boise State debuted at no. 22. No other bowl eligible Big Ten teams made the top 25 so it would only be a matter of Boise State crawling up to to the top 16 to qualify. Jerry Palm believes it is possibly. He still has Boise State in the Sugar Bowl against Florida State.
