Better
Game than the last one, but still a little slow. I think the best two teams played but Bama played lights out on D. I don’t know who would have beat them tonight.
Trent Dilfer had a great take on this today...
He said USC’s offense would have taken advantage of Bama’s over-aggressive D… and that there were 10 to 12 different places where Barkley would have eaten them alive with big plays.
He went on to say that the reason you so rarely see SEC quarterbacks in the NFL is because people like Miles don’t teach their kids how to PLAY offense, how to read defenses, etc… and last night was a classic example of bad SEC offenses.
I have to think about this – not sure yet I agree myself… but no one else is saying it out loud how bad those two offenses were last night.

Kellen would have shredded their Ds as well.
But don’t forget: that was “big boy” football last night, right, Les?
The battle for hierarchy is more intense the lower the class.
Worst
that I have seen in the past 25 years I have been watching college football. Total snooze fest! Could LSU have run a more conservative vanilla offense tonight? Were they just waiting for the Honey Badger to work his magic and then pull it off with some luck even when being dominated totally? Oh well. I would like to get that 3 hours of my life back.
I loved the deer inthe headlights look on the LSU Q-back
All game long! Priceless!

LSU finally got exposed
Their offense hasn’t been that great all year (ranked 73rd in yards/game). It was their defense that carried them. The whole thing is one big joke. I hope the ratings were terrible. I did not watch the game and it sounds like I made the right choice. Alabama and LSU, the best football money can buy! No thanks!

Pros just bein' Pros.
and didn’t they all look the part. And act like it.
Coach Pete would not approve!

was at work during the game
but did get text updates from espn cause I was curious…I have to imagine that Boise would have at least been able to put something on the board against either of those defenses…the lsu offense was completely inept tonight, and I think ours guys healthy could slow them down enough to have a chance against their d. if only…

K Moore would have found a way.
Believe it. HIS receivers would have found a way to catch those dropped passes.
No doubt in my mind! Not to disparage the LSU catch passing ability’s, but ARE YOU KIDDING ME? YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!!

didn't watch it.
but didn’t have to. kept up with espn updates and twitter. and it looked like i didn’t miss much (’cept for an Alabama defensive domination).
look at it this way: Georgia Southern scored 19 points against that Alabama defense. and before you say it was because they pulled their starters, i’ll say this: it’s freaking Alabama. they’re third string benchwarmers would start for Georgia Southern. so no excuse for LSU to not put anything on the shelf.
so i’m glad i missed it. i, too, hope it was the worst ratings-wise. and i’m more confident of that than ever.

Now, if you were my attorney writing a brief for me? Then we might have something to discuss. Like how your legal assistant needs to step up their game :)

Didn't watch much, flipped back forth a few times.
The LSU offense consisted of horrible option play, 2 yard dives, and lateral passing from what I could tell, very vanilla and very predictable. I don’t know but I don’t think they even tried to go downfield from what I watched. It was almost like they didn’t practice for the last 45 days…?

Didn't watch at all .....
evidently didn’t miss a thing, and feel pretty cheated by a rock paper scissors game ending in a 1-1 tie. Thank you sports commentators for your decision before even the first game to make sure the loser would only fall one spot so you could watch this terrible game again.
Million dollar question
Was Alabamas D that good, or was LSUs offense that bad? I would say the latter.

Didn't watch but turned on ESPN for, ahem, the "highlights"
Gaah! Zero points, Miles? ZERO? Did you really think Saban wouldn’t take Beezlebub’s offer for his soul?? Silly, silly man. “Big boy football”? Riiiight.

I miss the days of Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush
when they dominated, the hung 55 on Oklahoma, not four field goals and a touchdown. When they met their match, it was the greatest game of all time.
Now we get….this…

Even their football down there is incestous ;)
The BCS can’t even get a mythical championship correct. I didn’t even know who won the game until noon today when I got in my car. That’s how interested I was in it.
Let’s just have the rest of Div 1 football break away from the SEC and let the BCS and SEC play amongst themselves.
BSU don't need smoke and mirrors to get the job done, they got orange pants.
"Worst national championship or worst national championship ever?"
I’m going with option C: tied for worst ever. Seeing how there has never really been a national champion in college football. And yes, I would still say it even if Boise State played in the game and won.
