Well that would make them 0 for 2 in the running back department...
… they already tried to get Jack Fields after he committed as well. Also worth noting, Ben Weaver from Klein, TX told A&M to get lost after they made a late push last week. For a kid that grew up going to Aggie games (he says he still goes to two or three a year) to choose Boise, ID over Aggieland.. that’s pretty impressive.

I think that article that someone posted about Chip Kelly leaving is correct.
Oregon hasn’t quite gotten to the point where they can lose the HC and not have the recruiting class freak out (i’m not saying Boise State could fall in the same trap).
here’s the thing though: Chip Kelly basically already has one foot out the door. if he “took” the Bucs job at first then decided to change his mind, i’m guessing it’s really only a matter of time until he does decide to go.
Petersen has never come THAT close to leaving. Though he has used his leverage in his favor for sure.

Not a huge surprise
I think (hope?) kids are starting to see the lack of Ducks getting drafted since Kelly took over. They win a lot of games, but it’s the system. Kelly doesn’t recruit NFL types nor does the system produce them.
which isn't his problem.
he’s looking to win games, not necessarily get them ready for the pros. which makes me wonder what the recruiting pitch is. it seems, to me anyway, the BSU coaches are all about development. Maybe not necessarily for the pros, but just on getting better in general.
the fact that five players to the Senior bowl and at least 8 potential prospects this year has to set a really good tone for what some players can expect to work toward in 4 to 5 some odd years.

I wasn't implying it's a good or a bad thing
It’s just going to have an effect on the kinds of recruits he gets.
Cozens to Arizona. Barrett to come to BSU.
