Wake up, Bronco Nation: Boise State football links and things, 1-30-12
Senior Bowl recap: Boise State players impress
Chadd Cripe has a recap of Senior Bowl festivities from the previous week. Shea McClellin was the most unexpected standout while Doug Martin was the most expected. But all five players performed well and made solid impacts on scouts.
Dr. Saturday looks at Kellen Moore and his height
He mainly goes through things we are all way too familiar with. I for one think that his height and arm strength are being overly criticized while his football IQ is being underrated. Hopefully that will get showcased if/when ESPN plans to have Kellen sit down with Jon Gruden.
Boise State drops its 6th straight game to Wyoming
Things are quickly becoming worse for Leon Rice's team. The MWC slate has proven tougher than expected for the guys who have started 0-5 in conference play. Things don't get easier for the guys as they face off against (13) San Diego State on Wednesday.
Happy Birthday
A very happy birthday to Faraji Wright today.

That last headliner should have read
“Boise St. drops its 6th straight game to Wyoming, sending reader Ihavenofriends into a cerebral and emotional meltdown of epic proportions.” :p

now, now, pj....
let’s start this Monday morning off in pleasant fashion, shall we?
Perhaps it is a good thing the bball is going to the WAC? It would be so disheartening to continually lose. Sounds like we need to give Coach Rice a little more time to get his team used to winning.

Oh most def....if Rice sticks around I think he has a good chance to improve that program a LOT
I don’t know anything about Basketball hardly but I know a thing or two about building programs.
Rice seems to have the coaching down, he’s getting beter players, and BSU is about to receive a huge jump in income which will help the Bball team as well. I also think as BSU gets more and more national coverage w/ the football team that it will help establish the name brand of BSU in general nationally and aide tremendously in Bball recruitment. Lastly, I have heard the Big East will play us twice a year as part of the contract obligations, getting us big name matchups and exposure on the East Coast where a ton of Bball talent resides, particularly the Northeast.

Haha bro
You and him were really going back and forth on that thread we will not speak of, he seemed to have really gotten under your skin…

He did initially lol, until I saw what he was up to. I was literally laughing as I read his arguments to my brother and showed what he was doing and how confused he was.
I think he eventually saw that he had entered with the wrong tone and accused the wrong set of people. His ultimate mistake was that he never apologized for it to reset the argument and better define his complaints. He just changed his complaint without telling anyone else. I didn’t realize that until almost at the end where he made a comment that alluded to that possibility.
But this guy, I know his type…he hates to be wrong and he has to have the last word. He was being such a jerk about it that I simply refused to let him have it and I took the time to break his arguments down in ways he couldn’t retort, he could only use lame excuses, or change the details of his complaint, or split hairs over minutia (he did that with astro a lot) (I also did the same thing with Hrman7 a while back but Hrman7 was a much better arguer).
That’s why, in Ihavenofriend’s final statement, all he could say was I didn’t have to be a jerk about it. In essence, he had nothing he could argue against me on. That’s as close to a “you’re right” as you can get from his type and I hope he learned something from it.

Another chance for Kellen...
to prove that all the long throws, pressure he escaped, games he won, brilliant decisions made…and his durability are true. He is one of 3 QB’s on the “All Star Challenge” this week.
Austin Pettis was on there last year and won several of the compeitions. this is the one where Kellen may get to shine because accuracy competition is a big piece of it.
Kellen did good...
He should have been 8-11 with a touchdown. The play calling was bad, but it seemed like he was calling them to test the players and situations they were in. Like when the North was going to score, 3 straight runs? I mean Kellen already showed by then he could handle being poised at the goal line from earlier when you had 2 dropped passes for the same place on the field. Maybe that was a good situation to test the D and O lines. Or Doug Martin not getting the ball handed to him that much. They wanted to see how good he could pass protect. its the best explanation I can come up with about their play calling.
'Trust me, i can protect myself. I'm a Boise State Broncos Football fan.'
Hey
I like your positive spin on it
