Student

section looks packed. It really important that it stays that way. This was pretty cool. Maybe it will become a regular occurance on big games.

Well done on your first attempt!

That is one killer student section. I love the Rebel fans comments to a couple of these videos noting that their section (The Rebellion) has it’s work cut out for them. That’s a huge compliment

We went to the San Diego State game the other night and Boise's student section definitely rivals theirs!

That’s saying something because their Student atmosphere is one of the best in the country. You hear broadcasters say folks like to visit as much for the action off the floor as on (and the Aztecs are ranked in the top 25 with a number of recent Sweet 16 appearances)!

Keep up the great work Bronco Nation!

The key is not the "will to win" - everybody has that. It is the will to prepare to win that is important. ~ Bobby Knight

sad that

that’s the only way to get students to go. “hey let’s all dance for 1 minute during the game”.. “OK! I’m down! woo!”… normally it’s “hey come support basketball!”.. “we have a basketball team?”

Let’s see if any of these people show up Saturday. As far as I know, nothing is planned for the student section.

Actually I think they came because there was a party in the lobby an hour before with free pizza

Personally I think they should do that a few times a season. Good way to get to know other fans and add people to the corral

well, yeah

that too, but, that was part of the flash mob thing?

but yes, I agree. I’m all for doing what you gotta do to get students to go. but, don’t just do it for big games. get people to go to the “crappy” games too.

That's true, "crappy" games are normally more winnable...

This was all definitely a product of Mark Coyle, you see Calipari’s tweets?

To see him tweeting Boise State is pretty freaking cool…

Sounds like Mark Coyle is still in pretty close contact with Calipari…

If the basketball coach at Kentucky thought it was totally cool, does that mean its a college basketball first, if so, THAT'S ANOTHER BOISE ST FIRST !!!

First with “The Blue”, and first fans to flash mob.

If you ever wanted to see Boise St play...may be a good chance. Love em or Hate em, they are always interesting; and now, no matter where you live, "They're Coming To Your City"

Darn, we're not the first,

They've been going on for a while

Here’s BYU’s last year, they kind of struck out in the contrast department but i like the move where they’re all bent over going different directions.

Our flash mob is so much more colorful, or I'm bias.

Brought tears to my eyes

Now THAT is a student section.

I daresay we might be able to pull off a winning team losing team

Proof at the :39 mark. Although the placement of the section makes it a little difficult, basically pointing the same direction for both teams… Great arm movement though!

That's pretty sick...
We say this so much it’s a worn cliche — and yours truly is as guilty as anyone — but this is why college basketball is so awesome. Sure, the game is great. Sure, the stories of the players and coaches can captivate us, can break our hearts, can maybe, just maybe, teach us something about ourselves. But at the end of the day, the thing that sets college basketball apart is the fans. More specifically, it’s the students — their big cardboard heads and silly costumes and their just-shy-of-foul chants and their silly dances. They’re why this sport is what it is.

What I’m trying to say, I guess, is this: Shine on, you crazy flash-mobbing diamonds, you. Shine on.

(Hat tip: Kentucky coach John Calipari, who just tweeted these videos to his approximately 52 million followers.)

YOU STUDENTS ROCK!!!!!!

The flash mob was awesome. Keeping coming to the games students. The team needs your support.

I need to get me some tickets!

That was awesome! I had a couple friends go to the game and said it was fantastic. Coach Rice is creating something great with the basketball team.
