Scout still showed he had one
but I know it took a while to register when they pulled Rios’. Of all the places he had offers, New Mexico seemed like the worst place. I did noticed his ranking had dropped. Maybe he had a sub-par year. Who knows. But I agree, our secondary has some good kids coming in. I’m excited for the spring game!
If you wanted to stand out...
in a place that is getting a complete overhaul, New Mexico might be that place. Unfortunately for him, now he may get a chance to tackle/cover DJ, Jay, Malcolm, Gabe, Matt, Geraldo, Kirby, Kyle etc., while trying to avoid some serious big men in Blue. Only for one year though…

Yeah.
I’m betting he more saw the writing on the wall and the competition he was going to have. Might as well go to a place that he may have a good shot at starting and getting a lot of playing time.
