went to the mall
today and saw the signing. Personally, i didn’t care. mostly because it’s basketball season now. and, well, i find that overly obsessive fans are annoying. by overly obsessive i mean, the ones that freak out any time they see someone as if they were a 13yr old who saw justin bieber.

exactly.
i’ve been lucky to do that with a band before. they just happened to stop in a mall back home and seemed like i was the only one that recognized them. they weren’t even playing a show in town. just stopped for a break i guess. so i went up, surprisingly, and say hey, blah blah blah blah. then left em alone.

I'm not one for signatures.
I think signatures are something you get to show off to others you actually met someone(celebrity) or you think it will be worth something someday (IE Elvis).
Back in the day…as 25 year olds say today (refering back 4 or 5 years) which cracks me up every time i here them use that phrase. Back in the day for me was in the 70’s. I got to meet several bands and never asked for any signatures. I ended up partying with the Doobie Brothers, and Paul Revere, and just hanging out with others. Sometimes they just want to be treated like normal people. My experiences are worth more to me than a signature. Although I must confess, i kept a few drumsticks and guitar picks that had the bands name on them.

yeah
i got backstage at a concert once, for my favorite band. never once did I even talk to them, except the drummer after the show, but he came up to us and initiated it. We met another band backstage as well, another one of my favorites, because that’s how we got the tickets.. connections, you know, anyways, so we just wanted to thank the manager for getting them for us, and getting us back there, and he let us in the dressing room to meet them and everything, it was really awkward and seemed forced. they were pretty cool about it and stuff, but it just seemed weird? I will say we did get a picture though, but, come on, we are young and had never been like backstage backstage before. we could do whatever we wanted except go on the main stage. it was a pretty cool experience.

am i claiming everyone that likes autographs acts like that. i just prefer randomly meeting people than a setup situation where they are meeting hundreds or thousands of people. some people are just normal fans and dont scream and yell like little girls when they see kellen moore. i mean, heck when i was a kid i got autographs too. theyre cool and such. just, i dunno, never been a fan of the whole signing table in the mall thing.
