Let's say that the worst happens and the Big East falls apart in the next year or two. Which course of action would you prefer? Go back to the WAC or MWCUSA? Or should they attempt to build a new conference from the top schools of the non-AQs (no bottom feeders)? That is go back to a conference with the likes of Idaho, New Mexico (State), San Jose State, Colorado State, UNLV, Tulane, UTEP, and Memphis, ? Or play in a new conference with schools like Houston, SMU, SDSU, Tulsa, So. Miss, and Toledo? If you pick the later then pick your teams and make your realistic football conference (they can't be from any current AQ conferenjce (simply because that will never happen). And don't worry about picking the best TV markets. Pick the best schools that will give us a good SOS. Also give up on the Pac12 and Big12 cuz they ain't happenin'. Neva'. (Ghetto talk intended.)
My football conference is: Boise State, SDSU, Nevada, Fresno State, Utah State and Hawaii in the west. Houston, SMU, Tulsa, So. Miss, Toledo and LaTech in the east.
