Now you've done it Senior!!
Equestrian daughter wants a new saddle (and a horse), and all the blue and orange bling to go with it. This great photo is now her screen background.
.
Boise State football is akin to molten lava. You can see it and perhaps run from it, but you can't stop it.
Oh oh.
Hope you can temper her expectations, but I’m glad the photo has been put to good use. Who knows? Maybe someday she’ll be carrying the flag herself (assuming that she’s not 35 or something now). (And that’s not a slam against 35-year-olds, who are still “kids” to me.)

I <3 this tradition.
It’s my favorite. No matter what happens, this lifestyle is part of the heritage of this state and it’s awesome to see BSU recognize and respect that. BSU’s rodeo team has been a strength for years, and I love seeing them get some recognition – even if it’s just one girl on a horse, blinged out in Blue and Orange, leading those men out on the Blue.

Agree
I get a thrill out of watching our equestrian/human partnership race out of the fog, and wish that they could still gallop around the track after a score. Decidedly western, decidedly Bronco. (Even though horses and I have a mutual agreement, in that we avoid each other. My early days as a little cowboy didn’t work out well.)

Horses have so much personality.
I always equated them to dogs with a slightly higher level of intuition. The bond that a human can make with a horse is truly incredible. (Forgive me, I’m a bit nostalgic for my childhood today. I really miss going out and saddling up in the morning and spending the day in nature v. getting up and sitting in front of a computer all day.)

Dogs are man's best friend.....
But horses are man’s great partner.

One of my many, many cousins
was the girl that led the team out during the First Fiesta. Not sure if she did the second one or not, though…
I hate everyone equally...especially Vandals!

IIRC, it was a different girl and a borrowed horse for Fiesta 2.
I remember that some of my family was contacted to see if they had a suitable replacement they could take down, but ended up borrowing one from closer to the stadium, as her normal horse was hurt for some reason.
