I encourage each of you to email Mr. Emmert to inquire about how such a situation could be allowed to wait until a couple days before the first game, and ask him about what kind of Institutional Control he has over the NCAA that he Presides over if his organization is performing in such a manner as to potentially affect the outcome of games. We do not know if the NCAA initiated this investigation of eligibility, but we can ask them if they did and if so, why they waited until now to do so.
What is more important, I woud say, is the fact that these three athletes who have busted their butts all summer long competing for an opportunity to go to Georgia to represent BSU have now been unjustly restricted from joining their compadres on the gridiron while someone is dragging his/her feet. Either this someone is at Boise State and needs to be called on the carpet, for the Mtn West Conference, or for the NCAA.
Surely Mr. Emmert would have full control over the NCAA Institution and thus is fully aware of when, how, and why these athletes' elgibility was called into question and will be more than willing to fully disclose why the issue was raised just days before BSU takes the field against UGA.
Give him a quick shout out-- a guy cut from his cloth surely will be "stand up" on this one.
My hope is he will quickly dispell the rumors out there!
Surely Cedric, Ricky, and Geraldo deserve this at the very least!
