CSF68's Take on Conference Realignment

In my humble opinion, BSU is going to the new (watered down) Big 12.

The Big 12 will survive…teams that leave the Big 12 will have to forfeit revenue worth millions of dollars (fact junky please insert data). That kind of money can keep the remaining conference members together (nothing like a recession to keep cash strapped schools together). UT, OU, OSU, and Texas Tech are as good as gone to the new PAC 16 and Texas A&M to the SEC.

Kansas, Kansas St, Baylor, Iowa St., and Missouri will stay together because of the money the Big 12 will buy them off with. I am guessing, the Big 12 will try and grab the Who’s Who of non-AQ teams: TCU (the Big East is losing its power players), SMU, Houston, Air Force, BSU, BYU (if Dan lets them keep their stupid network) and maybe Tulsa (you can't argue with the geography).  For love of money, I believe the new Big 12 will actually return to 12 teams with two 6 team divisions and a conference championship game.  It could be worse for  BSU, if Dan Beebe can bribe payoff incentivize his 5 remaining members to stay in the conference, the Big 12 will keep its AQ status.  The new Big 12 would be a step up from the current MWC and the AQ thing would be amazing!

My guess for Big 12 conference structure:

North: BSU, BYU, Kansas, Kansas St, Air Force, and Iowa St

South: SMU, Houston, Baylor, TCU, Tulsa, and Missouri
