Non-BCS recruiting breakdown

1

Greg Biggins has this to say about Boise States recruiting class: Who they have: The Broncos are off to a fast start and are putting together a solid class. DB Marcus Rios (Elk Grove, Calif./Cosumnes Oaks) is the headliner and one of the elite corners in the West region. He performed well at The Opening and turned down half the Pac-12 to commit to Boise. LB Ben Weaver (Klein, Texas) is ESPNU's No. 17 inside 'backer in the country and turned down schools including Arizona, Cal, Louisville, Houston, Utah and Texas Tech. DB Donte Deayon (Walnut, Calif./Summit) earned DB MVP honors at the Stanford Nike Camp, and linebacker Chris Santini (San Jose, Calif./Leland), a converted safety, chose the Broncos over Pac-12 offers. Sleeper QB Nick Patti (Orlando, Fla./Dr. Phillips) doesn't have the prototypical size for the position, but he made the Elite 11 QB Camp last summer and is a great fit in the Broncos' offense. As well as this valuable information about LB prospect Joel Skotte and WR Jake Maulhardt: Another talented 'backer with a Boise offer is Joel Skotte (Bend, Ore./Mountain View). Skotte said he'll officially visit the Broncos, and they appear to be out in front right now. Boise also looks like the leader for receiver Jake Maulhardt (Camarillo, Calif.). BYU and Colorado are in the mix and have offered, but the Broncos are looking good right now. Good news considering we have yet to land a WR for the 2012 class and continue to stock up on stud LBs for the future. Check out the link to see how Hawaii, Houston and TCU are doing as well.
