Video: Boise St. Preseason 2011 - The Schedule

Before I begin the description I'd like to point out some changes I've attempted. I implemented three new techniques in this video

A) I have learned to use the "Sin City" effect that Andersource makes such excellent use of. This is the video technique that grays everything out except a certain color.

B) I took some advice from OBNUG member PAC 10 Alum and used actual movie theme music as opposed to the faster paced, more "epic", trailer music I usually use. I think it turned out real well, thank you PAC

C) I paid close attention to audio levels between vocals and music. I tried to get everything just right. This came from the feedback of OBNUG user BT Blue. Thank you BT.

This video starts out with interviews and espn analysis concerning the character of the Boise State program, it's entry into the MWC, and it's chances for a National Title run after the departure of key personnel.

The second half of the video goes over the highlights in BSU's 2011 schedule. Of BSU's 12 opponents in 2011, eight are Bowl teams from last year and this section introduces all eight. Although not blatently apparent in the video itself, I picked the song I did b/c I wanted the heaviness of the music to indicate two things...1) the difficulty of facing so many new opponents in one season. While not insurmountable by any means, it is nevertheless a risk most teams do not have to deal with, especially when replacing the solidity of veterans with new personnel. 2) The opportunity for greatness that arises from facing adversity head on. I felt this song really grasped those things and the movie it came from also depicted this sort of thing.

I hope it is well received and that it feeds the hunger for football until my next release or the season actually starts :D
