Hawaii ends up paying $200k to get out of a $17k scholarship
I know this isn't BSU news, but interesting none-the-less considering Hawaii is now a future conference mate (weird to say that) and the player involved is from Boise. For Shame, McMackin.

Interesting article to read, Doofie
Sounds like the poor kid got the shaft for a couple of years, including injuries and giving up his sport of choice. What a raw deal. The money sounds big, at first, until you read how little he got for his pain and mental suffering to put toward another college, while the legal heroes scored 3times as much. arggh.
Makes me appreciate BSU all the more. Thanks for posting it.

BSU changes the BCS! 2011
It's more a sad commentary on what lawyers cost
And I say this as someone who has made their income in the last twenty years mostly via paid legal fees. But paying $150K (or 3/4s of the money referenced in the article) is absurd.
Likewise, BSU will be paying out some hefty legal bills for the wrongful termination case and for the law firm to assist with the NCAA response.
I'd rather be surfing.
