Happy Friday. You guys be good this weekend.
The Statesman is not too optimistic about the Broncos getting the lack of institutional control charge dismissed, but then again, when are they ever optimistic?
Andrea Adelson does the copying-and-pasting honors this time with the details on all the non-AQ teams. Via Adelson, here is Steele's reasoning behind ranking the Broncos No. 3 overall:
"They rank in my top individual units in seven of the eight categories with the only question being wide receiver. Of all the teams that are in the Top 10 of the power poll, Boise has the easiest path to an unbeaten season and might just break through to the title game if things fall their way."
You might as well not even buy the magazine at this point. Boise State versus Notre Dame in the Fiesta.
Phil Steele told KTIK today Bama wins BCS over OK and Boise St plays Notre Dame in Fiesta
Seems a little early for schadenfreude, doesn't it?
Let's hope it doesn't come down to which team wants it more, because that's likely to be the Broncos.
To wit, the bowl has dumped the WAC in favor of the Pac 12 beginning this year, leaving the WAC with only three bowl tie-ins and leaving some 7-5 Mountain West team with a bowl date against Arizona State probably.
There are only two times when it is appropriate to obsess over video game ratings: 1) when they involve sports, and 2) when they involve throwing banana peels out of the back of go carts.
Maybe that will get Cali RB Davien Payne to commit faster.
