So I know that there have been links to several different articles surrounding this topic but I did some of my own research, compiled my own stats, and have put it all together for you guys here in this post.
Boise State's APR (academic progress rating) at 981 tops the WAC, MWC (including air force and TCU), Sun Belt, all independents (including army, navy, Norte Dame, and BYU), SEC, Big 12, and PAC-10 (including UC Berkley and Stanford). The only schools to beat Boise State (in Div 1-A) were Rice 983 (C-USA), Northern Illinois 987 (MAC), Duke 986 (ACC), Northwestern 993! and Ohio State 985 (Big Ten), and Rutgers 988 (Big lEast). I can't say I am surprised by any of the schools that had higher APR's than Boise State except for Ohio State. But we all know that they cheat and will break every rule in the book when it comes to football, so they doesn't really count.
Also, dU of I's APR was 923. 923. Wait let me say it one more time, 923. And that is by far the best APR they have had in like 5 years. Let's hear some more from vandals about how academics are so much better in Moscow. A 923 APR is so bad that the NCAA has laid down an immediate penalty of the loss of 1 scholarship. In the previous APR reporting season of 2008-2009 dUI's APR was 908! They lost 6 scholarships. The year before that their APR was 905! And the year before that their APR was 904 which they lost 8 scholarships for. Please, oh please, lets hear some more about Boise State's academics.
So the lesson to be learned here is that Boise State rules, Ohio State cheats, and dUI officially sucks in every single way possible. (All research done on NCAA.org)
