Did Cam Newton play in a "one read" passing offense at Auburn? | Smart Football
Basically just skip to the part about Coach Petersen and the development of the college QB. In a nutshell, there are three levels to being a QB. 1. Where is the QB going to throw? Check your reads, run if no one is open. 2. Where is the defense? Then where is the QB going to throw? What is the defense doing and where should your guys be? 3. Understand the philosophy of what you're doing and why a certain play should work. Anticipation, capabilities, etc. If Moore isn't at least working on his mastery of level 3 (I'm getting at he is already pretty good at three) then he's at least the best level 2 QB in college right now. (yeah, yeah, Luck, blah, blah, blah...)
