What were they thinking?? Leaving the MWC with the addition of Boise as well as one or all of the following UNR , Fresno and Hawai joining they would have been a shoe in as a BCS conference . They would have been able to get a much stronger TV deal much more money and stayed where they we familiar thus creating a very strong conference.
I dont care for the BCS but it just seems like they all jumped pre- mature . I think TCU makes the most sense but Utah will for the most part always lose recruits to all other pac12 schools except maybe WSU and as far as BYU goes well I think they are in a much weaker position ! The MWC is going to be the WAC basically after SDS and Boise leave. Just seams like all these coaches and Ad"s could have put there heads together and created a new conference Maybe called it the Pacific Moutain Conference With the following teams Air Force , Boise, BYU, Fresno, Houston, Nevada Reno, SDS, TCU , Utah , Wyoming It would be the fourth or fifth best conferense in college football year in and year out . It makes to much sense though or does it ?
I was born and raised out west six generations in Oregon and California It kills me to see these teams heading back East to play games…its one thing to jump on a plane in Oregon or California and fly to see the Broncos play in Colorado or even down to Texas and that is a stretch but I can assure you me and most others wont be flying out to see Boise play Rutgers or Connecticut !!!
