Tragedy turns to triumph. While the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) commissioners refuse to acknowledge the exsistence of either Boise State or Southern California universities this season, their respective presidents will not spend the holidays lamenting the fact.
In an unprecidented move Boise State's president, Bob Kustra and Southern California's president, C. L. Max Nikias, met behind close doors just hours after being snubbed by the BCS and decided to play each other in an unsactioned post season bowl game.
In what is now being called the "Outcast Bowl," teams have agreed to meet in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on December 31th to decide just who the better, "imaginary team is" chuckled President Nikias while aiming a sly wink at reporters.
The game, set to match the Associated Press poll's number 5 and number 8 ranked teams, has reportedly sold it's rights to FOX Sports for an estimated $8 million dollars. Virgin Atlantic Air, owned by billionaire Sir Richard Branson, is rumored to be the title sponser.
