Jack Betcha writes a column for National Football Post and has a nice entry about how Boise State is as a program and what Coach Pete instills in his players. There's even a great quote at the end from an unnamed Boise State offensive player on a lack of a playoff frustrations. Any guesses who that might be? I'm going with Kyle Efaw.
And he makes a good point, Brees has similar physical traits as Moore while Moore has put up better stats in college in a more NFL ready scheme than Brees had albeit that Brees played in a tougher conference. It will be interesting to see how the opinion on Kellen changes in the coming weeks/months.
It was a fun, high scoring game from the MACtion school Toledo and Air Force's run happy option offense. But Air Force coach Troy Calhoun decided to go for the win with a fake extra point in the last minute of the game. That's what happens when you put your fate in the hands of a kicker trying to field a terrible pitch.
That's the latest improbable name to be linked the Penn State vacancy after Mike Munchak said "thanks, but no thanks." This time due to a commenter at PennLive.com. Guess any info is so sparse that they are actually just taking commenter suggestions. I don't know if I'm more shocked that they actually have a story about it or that the Statesman wasn't the first to come up with an idea like this.
