Christmas 2007. The year Boise State went 10-3. The season after the Fiesta Bowl win. The year before Kellen. I was dating a girl who grew up in Boise and I went home with her for Christmas. I was on the plane during the Hawaii Bowl, so when her parent's picked us up at the airport I asked how the game was going. Lo and behold, her father and mother were dUI grads. Boy was I in the wrong place for Christmas. I knew it was going to be a long week. Let's just say I had to listen to how bad BSU was. Didn't even win their conference. Lost to ECU in the Hawaii Bowl. And this new QB they were redshirting, well, let's just say they weren't all that impressed. Now, four years later I wish I could look at them and go, "Bwahhaaa!" But I can't. I had to return home a couple of days earlier than my girl because of work. She hugged me at the airport, but didn't kiss me. When I landed there was a brand new text on my phone from my girlfriend. Dumping me. Well, I'm having the last laugh now. Especially since dUI was one of the schools that offered Moore a scholarship. "Bwahaaaaaaa!"
