I did the patriotic thing, bought through the Bronco Ticket office for $62 each, and got socked with a $20 Fedex fee….for good seats up high on about the 35 yard line that would cost no more than $50 through the Maaco Bowl itself. That is $144 via BSU or $100 via samboydstadium.org. According to the ticket office, if I had wanted to avoid the $20 fee and just pick them up at BSU…I could not have purchased them until the end of last week and of course, no way would I have ended up on the 35. Call it a “good ticket surcharge.” Paying $20 for the privilege of being part of our 11K allotment, plus higher equivalent ticket cost than buying them through the Maaco Bowl, seems like a strange way to reward loyalty. I gather that is the same at other bowls, and is likely one reason Va Tech is getting hammered so badly right now.

I am rapidly losing faith in Rocky Long. He is so unemotional it was hard to tell if he was really coaching, or just watching in that bowl game. SDSU made way too many mistakes to win that game, but missing the 2pt conversion that would have guaranteed overtime (receiver barely stepped out of bounds before coming back in to make the catch) and that rediculous “spinnning” penalty on the ULL FG to win were particularly painful to watch.

As for the Wyoming gsame – well I feel pretty good if Temple is added to the Big East eventually.

That is the name of the penalty called on SDSU just prior to the game winning 50 yard field goal – it would have been a 55 yard try otherwise and judging by the angle, might have doinked off the upright. The penalty should have been called on UL if anybody, and would have made it a 60 yard try.

Of course if SDSU receivers had caught even half of the passes they dropped in the first half, none of that would have mattered. I know better now why Lindley, expected to be a top 10 QB when the year started, ended up with 52% completion ratio.

Zero is good, right? I will say this…I came out of nowhere to win the regular season…just sayin’. (Note to self: “Just keep pretending it wasn’t luck and no one will know…”)
