A Look Ahead. Boise State's 2012 Football Opponents: Michigan State

Boise State opens the 2012 football season against currently ranked 17 Michigan State in a season opener away game. Today i will take a look at what the 2012 MSU Football team could possibly look like when they play Boise State Next Season.

At 10-3 Michigan State had a really good season this year. But what will the team look like when they face Boise State In August?

Offense:

Key losses: The two most notable losses on offense are Starting QB Kirk Cousins ( 3016 Yds Passing, 24 TD) and WR B.J. Cunningham (1240 Yds receiving. 12 TD)

The fact that MSU will have to replace thier starting QB and WR makes me feel a whole lot better about this game.

Returning Key Players On Offense: RB Le'Veon Bell (900 YDs Rushing 11 TD). They also have another pretty decent RB in Edwin Baker (655 YDs Rushing 5 TD)

Special Teams: Kicker: Dan Conroy ( 15/21 on FG. 47/47 on XP)

Punter: Mike Sadler (39.8 Avg)

Michigan state's defense in my opinion has been pretty decent this season, they are losing some key players but they have huge depth at LB and DBs.

Defense:

Key losses: DT Kevin Pickelman. S Trenton Robinson, and Junior DT Jerel Worthy could also leave for the 2012 NFL Draft.

Returning Key Defensive Players: DE William Gholston. LBs Chris Norman, Marcus Rush, Max Bullough, and Denicos Allen. S Isaiah Lewis. CB Darquese Dennard and CB Johnny Adams.

I think Michigan State's Defense will probably be the biggest challenge for a Boise State team that will be without Kellen Moore, Im not really worried at all about our Rushing Attack, We will have good depth at RB and have Dan Paul returning as well.
