Defending the Home Court 12/12/2011

So LSU creamed Boise State last week... In other news, Boise State is still holding strong in it's fight to defend the homecourt, that's what playing a road game on the weekend will do for you. As I began highlighting last week, Boise State's Active Home Winning Streak is pretty good right now. As of today (12/12/2011) it's 14th good. Here's the current top Active Home Winning Streaks in the NCAA Division 1:

At my last reporting when BSU was 12th. Belmont, of the Atlantic Sun Conference, and Louisville jumped Boise State after wins this weekend. The Belmont Bruins may play crappy teams but they're no slouch, the Bruins lost their season opener this year to then #6 Duke by one point and dropped a game against #18 Tennessee last year by the same score. Louisville put away the Farliegh Dickinson Knights. Next weekend the #4 Cardinals play host to Memphis who just dropped from the Top 25 (a loss to Murray State) so there's a chance BSU can get back ahead of them, though that probably won't matter since there are a couple teams with the opportunity to jump or tie Boise before their next home game.

Boise State doesn't get a chance to extend their home streak until December 16th (next Monday) vs. Fresno State. Lets PACK THE BELL and help extend this streak. It's possible that BSU can finish out the slate of non conference home games undefeated, hopefully instilling some confidence in conference play for the Broncos and fear in visiting Mountain West members. Best of luck to Boise State this weekend as they travel to Denver and get a well deserved break in play. GO BRONCOS!
