OBNUG tailgate vs. TCU
I'm updating the list of food coming and I think we are going to have a great time. Now its on me to get my butt down there and grab out spot in the parking lot! Bringing my duck hunting gear for the early morning chill (but I'm going to have to sneak off before Crissie gets up and gives that the kabosh!) If anyone else wants to bring something to eat, that will be great. If you can't, don't sweat it and just come down!
OK everyone, this is Mr. Crissie! I've been tasked by the boss to set up the tailgate post this week. She likes to tease me about my "lurker" status, so I'm just going to show her! I'm going to keep telling myself that I can do this, just complete the post! Plus, it really isn't all that hard to copy and paste followed by a few edits. I think I can, I think I can!
Come one, come all! Sign up to attend, contribute an item, enjoy a great day at Bronco Stadium and meet all of your favorite Nuggies and a couple of lurkers (ahem - Mr. Crissie). Don't have tickets to the game? Not a problem! We'll leave the lights on for you! TV and satellite are on for the game and it's a great atmosphere.
Where: Bronco Stadium, underneath the George Iloka banner in the east stadium parking lot. http://www.broncosports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=9900&ATCLID=205235859 Literally, walk to George and then look down. That's where we should be! Look for the OBNUG banner on our canopies. There's always a possibility that our spot will be taken and if so, we will update the tailgating thread here on OBNUG with our location. If you don't see us, check OBNUG because we're there somewhere!
When: Saturday, November 12th. Kick off is at 1:30pm, which means stadium gates should open at noon. We'll be set up by 10:00 and closing down shop at noonish. Bringing food? Please plan to be there at 10am.
Who: Any and all Nuggies - PLEASE just RSVP in the comments so that we know how much food to purchase and PLEASE sign up to bring something so that we aren't buying it all. "Just stopping by" is awesome, but there's nothing to stop by for without participation from those who enjoy it.
I really appreciated all of those who came to the last tailgate vs Air Force! A lot people brought food and or money plus helped get set up and then helped with the clean up. Its fun when people come and hang out, visit, and make the morning fun. Plus get there early so that when the TCU buses come by, and we can heckle, taunt and pretty much just harass them. Maybe we can set up a stand with belts and suspenders so Paterson can stop, jump out and grab himself something to hold his pants up!
How:
If you're coming, bring a camp chair if you'd like a seat. We bring the TV, satellite dish and canopies.
Sign up to bring a side dish in the comments. We'll update the thread as the requests are filled.
Pitch in a couple of bucks at the tailgate for the drinks and main dish. We leave a Boise State helmet out on the table to make it easy for everyone.
The tailgates are unanimously loved, and we'd love to have you there!
Sign Up List: (sign up for an item and RSVP with the number of folks you're bringing in the comments)
Main Dish : Going with BBQ chicken - Fields
Side Dish: Potatoes - Fields
Side Dish: Fried Chicken - Jamaray
Drinks: Fields
Ice/Coolers: Fields
Paper Items: Fields

Yummy treat: Cookies - BoiseCalvin
Side Item (Your choice): Chili - Bronco#86mom
Side Item (Your choice): Fruit dish - whjdmum
Side Item (Your choice): Reflectivity

We brings waters and sodas, but it's BYO(anything else) and if you are BYOBing, just bring along a small cooler as well. I just don't plan for that kind of space. It may be kind of cold so if you like coffee or hot chocolate you may want to bring it.
RSVP below so that we're sure to purchase enough food. See you Saturday!

Emmeline's status is still unknown
Scott said she was pretty terrible at the game. lol! I’ll try to talk my mom into stopping by the parking lot to pick her up so that she can tailgate for a bit, but that will depend on my mom’s mood. ;)

Driving in from Vancouver, WA on Friday! (Please don't snow on the pass...please don't snow...)
Bringing 4 adults and a 15 yr. old
Bringing: Chips and dip and a side dish – Would love to bring a side that’s warm and hearty. Would you have an extra plug for a crock-pot? If so, possibilities are forming…..so difficult when you’re in from out of town. :(
And Rocky’s coming too! I’m so excited to introduce you all to him and vice versa.
Awesome! The tailgates are fun and we all watch games that are going on that affect BSU if any are playing. Crissie and the fam
do a great job of providing a sweet hangout spot pregame. Looking fwd to seeing you all there :D
Safe travels!

Looking forward to seeing ya!
The Fields do put on a good show! We’re so glad they’ve included us. It’s home away from home!
I'm thinkin' maybe chili.....
Do you have spoons and bowls? If not, I can bring some. Just let me know. Actually, the chili would work on plates. It’d be thick. I can also bring grated cheese as a topping.
Let me know.
Dunno about Crissie but that sounds really good to me :p

in La Grande let me know. I am from there and can help you out. Not the best place to get stuck. See you Saturday.

Ah thanks Broncograd96!
Driving in shouldn’t be a prob. It’s the driving out that I’m really concerned with. My hubby, Ben, will be flying out on Sunday due to work meetings. I’ll be the one driving so…..I’m hoping the pass will be clear. I’m a wienie when it comes to a snowflake and driving.
Flying in from Atlanta!
My wife and I are coming to the Blue! It has been several years since I’ve been able to attend a home game, and we are very excited to meet some of our favorite Nuggie bloggers. Our ticket connection fell through (hmmm….there seems to be some interest in this game ;) ) so we appreciate the offer to hang out at the tailgate. I don’t think they will allow me to make my famous 7-layer dip on the plane, but will happily contribute to the helmet fund. Go Broncos!

last minute tix in Boise
are very high on the pre-Christmas wish list! Really can’t justify being in Boise and hang outside the stadium.
Call ticket office!
We were looking for tix also. They said that if you call this week, maybe Thurs. or Fri., they may release more tickets.
Please email me. I may have other ticket info for you. brgilder@yahoo.com

Holy Moly!
Great call about the ticket office…just called and got 2 of 6 remaining seats! Really appreciate the heads-up and the phone number. Sweet!
Oh soooo awesome!
The great thing is that you didn’t have to pay scalpers prices.

TO ALL: I forgot that many BYU fans do not drink alcohol. No problem! I’ll bring some non-alcoholic brews along too. Although, I do have to warn you that N.A. brews tend to give you the bitter beer face.

I’ll be bringing two friends from Ohio who are dying to see the Blue and visit Boise. They bought high priced tickets through one of the national ticket agencies. We’ll be driving up from Salt Lake City on Friday so can’t do major food prep. We’ll contribute handsomely to to helmet pot.

Talk about frustrated. 3 years of Z’s ups and downs was very hard to take, and he still one a lot of games.

Sounding like it’s gonna be an awesome tailgate! Looking forward to meeting you and the family!

I’ll stop by and will have my 16 year old daughter; she loves to make cookies so I’ll get her to whip something up. Go Broncos!
Coming in from warm sunny Southern California
Visiting my family in Boise…I arrive tomorrow at noon…I am very excited because this is the first time visiting during football season. I haven’t gotten any tickets yet but I will do my best. I have a 16 year old little brother (I am 26) and I plan on stopping by the tailgate to meet some Nuggies. I have been participating on the site for a good while and it will be nice to put names to faces…I will plan on bringing some food too…is it ok to sit at the tailgate during the game to watch it? or do you close up shop when the game gets going?
"I do not like Nevada" - Myself
TV
goes the entire game. ;) We’re always happy to have a few sticking around to watch it so that we know it will be there when we get back! Usually a couple of Fields kids hang around too. Hudson, in particular, likes to work the tailgate crowd. He’s 7, and when I came out at halftime one game (a NUGgie had been sitting to watch the game with him), he had talked some Pizza Hut girls out of some can covers, which he then resold to some students. Who does that?!?!?! The kid is SEVEN. He rocks.
OBNUG Resident Mom
Hahah
Tricking the Pizza Hut girls it how it all starts…I am gonna bring some Chips and Salsa. I wish I had the ability to cook up something yummy…I make some mean carne asada…But Chips and Salsa will have to do for this one.

Just read your bio… I figured the #86 was referring to his # and you being his mom… I went to school with Kyle’s sister so was thinking there was an OBNUG connection too… Oh wells.
Awesome that your family comes down from WA for games =) Dedication!
Maybe I should change my screen name huh...
I kinda wondered if people would think I was Kyle S.‘s mom. No, as you found out, Rocky, my oldest was #86 way back when. Maybe I’ll change my name to Broncomom. After all, age-wise, I could be the mom to any of the players. AND WOULD BE PROUD OF IT! :)

loved the tailgate.
It was my first OBNUG tailgate. Even though we lost the game, I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the nuggies. It was great to meet Hatemay, Boiseblues, Pjohn, OBNUG intern, and one really cool BYU fan who came all the way from Provo wearing Orange and Blue. I’ll be a more frequent flyer in the future.
