2012 Recruit Roundup: November 6, 2011

Boise State is 8-0 and entering the latter part of their 2011 campaign. Their large contingent of 2012 recruits are gearing up for the playoffs (if they were lucky).

Join me after the jump for stats galore to see how they're doing in their collective senior seasons.

Star-divide

Jack Fields, RB, Americas High (El Paso, TX)

Fields had his second lowest offensive output of the season on Friday night against El Dorado...but was still pretty darn good, finishing the night with 158 yards rushing on just 17 attempts (9.29 YPC) and 1 TD. Even more importantly, Americas won the contest 27-7 and finished their regular season at 8-2. Jack rushed for 2,256 yards and 23 TDs over the course of the regular season and still has the playoffs to do more damage. Maybe the most impressive stat of Fields' season was his yards per carry, which ended up being an amazing 9.76! Good luck in the playoffs, Jack!

Shane Rhodes, WR, Klein Collins High School (TX)

Klein Collins clinched a playoff berth by defeating Spring 51-14 on Thursday night in KC's last game of the regular season. Rhodes had 93 receiving yards on 5 catches and an early touchdown in the win. If season stats are all up-to-date, Rhodes finished the regular season with 856 yards receiving and 9 TDs, and 297 yards on the ground and 8 more TDs. Well done, Shane.

Devan Demas, RB, Cypress Creek (TX)

Cypress Creek fell to Cypress Ridge on Friday night to finish off a disappointing 3-7 season. In a year where the team struggled and Demas was hampered by injury, he still rushed for 761 yards and 9 TDs. No more losing should be in Demas' future with him joining the Broncos next year.

Donte Deayon, CB, Summit High School (CA)

Deayon had a big game on Friday night in a 56-7 rout of Jurupa Valley. The multi-talented Deayon scored 4 TDs on the night—2 receiving and 2 rushing—and ended the night with 191 all-purpose yards. The 8-1 SkyHawks sit atop their conference and have a title game showdown against Kaiser this weekend. Good luck, SkyHawks.

Chaz Anderson, CB, Loyola High School (CA)

Loyola was defeated by Alemany on Friday night 28-14 and are 7-2 on the year with the regular season finale against Crespi coming up on Friday. Anderson made 4 tackles in the contest.

Christopher Santini, N, Leland High School (CA)

Leland's unbeaten season came to an end on Friday night against Oak Grove as they were defeated 40-24. Santini once again was in street clothes as he's nursing injuries he sustained in a hit-and-run bicycle accident a few weeks ago. Leland is 8-1 on the year and will play their regular season finale next weekend against Piedmont Hills. Hopefully, Santini will be available for that game, but if he isn't, he's vowed to be back for a playoff run. Good well, soon Chris.

Chanceller James, S, Steele Canyon (CA)

Steele Canyon improved to 7-2 on the year after beating Grossmont 30-18 on Friday night. Steele Canyon continues to boggle the mind with their horrible stat-keeping, so James contributions aren't fully known. Steele Canyon is 4-0 in league play and finish up the regular season next week against Helix.

Nick Patti, QB, Dr. Phillips High School (FL)

Patti and his Dr. Phillips squad were able to clinch the district title with a 56-42 victory over Freedom on Friday night, and Patti was definitely on his game. Patti accounted for 7 touchdowns on the night—5 passing and 2 rushing—and finished the night 18-of-26 for 241 yards passing and 55 yards on the ground. Dr. Phillips finished their regular season 9-1 and undefeated in league play and will now try to make a run for a state title behind their outstanding QB. Great job this season, Nick, and good luck in the playoffs.

Andrew Pint, LB, Valor Christian (CO)

Valor Christian finished their regular season a perfect 10-0 after defeating Legend 51-12 on Thursday evening. Pint had 3 tackles in the win and will finish the regular season with 50 tackles to his credit. Good luck in the playoffs, Andrew.

Ben Weaver, LB, Klein High School (TX)

Klein finished their somewhat disappointing season with a 40-14 loss to Klein Oak on Friday night and will finish the year 4-6, with all 6 losses coming in league play. I was unable to find season defensive stats for Weaver, so if anyone has access to them, please send them my way.

Armand Nance, TE/FB, Dekaney High School (TX)

Dekaney dropped their game against Westfield on Friday night to move their record to 8-2 and will gear up to finish their season against College Park next weekend. No stats for Nance were logged in the game.

Travis Averill, OL, Servite High School (CA)

Servite is 8-1 on the season after defeating Mater Dei on Friday night by a score of 35-28. They'll finish their season next weekend against Santa Margerita.

Steven Baggett, OL, Martin High School (TX)

Martin finished their regular season at 9-1 after defeating Paschal 48-10 on Thursday evening. They'll now look to make a playoff run, so good luck to Steven and the Martin squad from here on out.

DJ Dean,  Safety/WR, Eagle High School (ID)

Dean's Eagle squad is 9-1 on the season and defeated Lake City 58-7 on Friday night. Dean has 392 receiving yards on the year, 86 on the ground, and 3 TDs. Eagle will play Highland next weekend to try to advance at state.

That's it for this week...if you have any stats, info, or otherwise to report, I would greatly appreciate it. Just send HERE.

Wow

I guess maybe I am ignorant of where these players come from but have we EVER had a Boise State recruit straight from Florida before? We also seem to be getting a bunch of Texas recruits in our rankings now. Is it just me or are we starting to look more and more like a BCS team in terms of recruiting?

We've had a good number from Texas before

but I think you’re right I dont know if we’ve ever cracked FL! Liking this trend. If and when we join the Big East we’ll have that advantage with Central Florida going as well

Yessir

But he committed in 2006, he’s a redshirt senior this year. And don’t forget Tommy Smith, outta Georgia (not Florida but close enough haha, still SEC country).
