Wake up, Bronco Nation: Boise State football links and things, 11-28-11

Defense steps up in win over Cowboys

Boise State's recently maligned pass defense only gave up 78 yards passing. George Iloka switched to corner alongside Lee Hightower. Travis Stanaway was inserted at safety where he picked off a pass that we fully believe Iloka would have intercepted. But alas, the Iloka interception watch sits at zero.

Boise State remains at number 7 in BCS standings

Despite what Craig James thinks. Boise State was jumped by Houston which doesn't mean much if Houston beats Southern Miss this weekend. Some good news though was that Michigan actually dropped a spot after it's win over Ohio State and remains 2 spots from the top 14. However, the loser of the Big 10 title game should drop below them as well as Georgia if they lose to LSU.

Coach Binky Williamson had a great time as guests of Boise State this weekend

Naturally they now want to move to Boise. Also, it's good to hear about the Bronco's commitment to helping others.

Boise State basketball gets back in the win column against Northern Illinois

Anthony Drmic lead the way with 18 points in a 71-57 win over Northern Illinois on Saturday night. It's nice to know we'll have something to root for after New Year's.

Urban Meyer accepts Ohio State job

Well this was a poorly kept secret but it's good to know that one high profile job has been filled. Meanwhile Arizona State, Kansas, Illinois, Washington State and UCLA will all be looking for new coaches. Let the Chris Petersen rumor mongering begin!
